I'm an ESL teacher living in Guangzhou, China, and I'm moving to Milan in August with my girlfriend (who is Italian).

I'm told that because I'm not an EU citizen, it's more difficult for me to get a proper work visa. I understand that there are several types of visas available, but I'm not sure which one I need, or what's easiest.

I've applied on a few teaching positions in Milan (though there aren't a lot to choose from), and have received a positive response, other than the fact that the school or company cannot help me out with any of the visa process.

Can someone tell me, what exactly must I do to get a work visa, and how much time/money will it require?

As well, if there are any great websites with lots of ESL or other jobs for a native English speakers.

Cheers to all for any help!

    Regards,
