I've looked through all the UK Border Agency pages and am finding the wording a little ambiguous, so I'm hoping someone here can help me and/or point me in the right direction. Here are my circumstances: - I was born in the US in 1979 to a British mother AND father (who were married). My mother was born in England and was a British citizen at birth; my father was born in Czechoslovakia (now The Czech Republic) and became British in 1973. - My father became a US citizen in 1983; he did not specifically renounce his British citizenship, but did not apply for dual citizenship when he applied for US citizenship. My mother is still a British citizen (dual, with US). - My parents registered me at birth with the British Consulate, but no further steps were taken to make me a citizen. So that's my story. If you have any input on whether I am already a British citizen and/or could apply to become one, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
