I seek information specific to my personal status and am ever grateful to any/all whom may be able to direct me to the right sequence of 'steps' required to obtain my Permanent/Long Stay Visa to live in Belgium. The info I find thus far does does not 'fit' my situation.
Stats: US Citizen, Air Force Veteran - held Top Secret Security Clearance 1982-1986 ; Secret Clearance via employer 1987 - 1990.
Q: would I require a 3rd FBI investigation to obtain "Certificate of Good Conduct" (or is there a contact to apply for a transcript of previous investigations/clearance)? I have no police record, not so much as a traffic violation.
I am 'disabled' due to post chemotherapy affects. I receive US Social Security Insurance Benefits ; contributions from my first tax paying income at age 14/as of 1977. My work history was consistent from age 14 to age of disability 40/2003.
Q : Is the Social Security Income and work history record enough to prove I will not be a burden to society/have the ability to provide income for myself per exchange rate? Are there specific documents I must provide in addition to the US documents from Social Security?
As I will be enrolled in school as a student, nor will I seek employment at this stage in life, I am concerned how to qualify for my Visa.
My loved one is a Belgian, I am relocating to unit with him. Marriage is a consideration though at a future point in time.
Thank you again for any help provided on how to proceed
