Hello all,

I have been offered and accepted a position as an aupair to an expat family in Sharjah, yet we (myself and sponsor/host family) are having extreme difficulty with my visa. At the moment it seems we must terminate our agreement, as the sponsor keeps receiving conflicting information, and I am not eligible for a 'maid visa' as I am not of the select countries i.e Phillipines, Indonesia etc.
The last information we received was that there was no visa for me at all!
Basically, I want to know if there is a visa for me to work for an EXPAT sponsor, for approx 12 months.

Not through an agency, we met through greataupair.com. Have contacted consulate and waiting for them to get back to me. We basically want to know what visa to apply for that isnt going to cost 14000 dirhams as a guarantee! It has been suggested doing border runs, but I'd rather not risk it.
