I am at that stage where my husband is to be posted in Dubai, I am looking to relocate us - along with our 2 kiddies - 2.5 and a 4yr old. Where do I start! I've never been to Dubai, the websites are informative and plentiful and whilst being THERE is no substitute for the internet I am trying pair down my search before I arrive. Please help! Where is the best place to live in terms of getting about, having two toddlers in tow and therefore needing things to do and places to go not far away? Secondly the schools all look good though I'd like to stick to an English Curriculum and am worried that after sereral years in Dubai they may have difficulty getting back into the good schools they are presently starting at - for example they both started learning French at 2.5yrs where as I have read that some schools don't start French until yr 3 of school. Lastly, am I being unrealistic in looking to live on the Palm (Jumerah) in terms of locality to schools, services, the Fin. district for my husband and toddler friends for the children? Any help would be VERY gratefully received!
