Still haven't heard back from them yet
is it normal to take more than 2months?

Have you not received any acknowlegdment letter?
The whole process (if you provided all evidence & they don't have any questions) is 6 months. But you should receive acknowledgment within 1-2months, I would say.
If you need call them on 0845 010 5200, option 1 then 2 & speak to adviser. Call early in the morning, say 9-10am.
