Looking to rent a room in Gent. I must have sent 50 emails to individuals and landlords but none seem to want to reply.

Could someone suggest a decent enough resource to find a place?

I know of Immoweb but no response from anyone.

 

If you're referring to Apartager, I've tried that too. But you have to be a Premium member to be able to contact anyone.
Any more tips on finding a cheap/basic place?

Also what is the deal with Student Kamers? Most landlords/agencies seem reluctant to respond about these. Not sure why.
