Advice on Giving an Estimate for My Expected Salary

Postby ytna » Tue May 01, 2012 3:05 am

Hi,

I'm having an interview in Amsterdam soon, and I'm wondering how to give an estimate for my expected salary, since the cost of living, tax structure, etc are all very different from my home country. In particular, I understand that the tax rate here is rather high. Can anyone here give me a clue as to:

1. What factors to consider when giving an estimate?
2. Is there like a range of salary for a web designer with 8 years of experience?
3. I found a discussion here on the cost of living in Amsterdam, but it's dated 2007, so I'd like to know if the figures still hold: http://bit.ly/Jf1BKx

Thank in advance for your help, and hope to work together with you guys in Amsterdam soon.:)
