AUTISM NAVIGATION SPECIALIST

• Receive and respond to inbound phone calls, emails and other incoming
correspondence from Neurodivergent individuals contacting the Autism
Navigation Center and provide appropriate follow up to ensure resolution of
inquiries and concerns
• Identify trends/needs/recurring issues and present to supervisor for further
investigation and resolution
• Educate clients on policies, education, medical, insurance and social
needs/rights
• Collaborate with navigation specialist to administer proper support of client
needs
• Manage current client cases and maintain detailed documentation in secured
database while providing resources and services to individuals and families
• Maintain confidentiality of all clients
• Provide great customer service
• Assist with special projects, specifically supporting autism research, initiatives,
and support to Navigator families
• Demonstrate cultural competency across a diverse group of learners,
communicators and ethnic backgrounds in order to provide empathetic and
educated assistance to navigator families
• Utilize available resources and problem-solving skills to facilitate professional
interactions with navigator families
• Compile available data to produce Navigator metrics reports to measure
success of techniques, as requested
• Assists in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in western
Michigan to meet and support AAOMs strategic goals
• Work and train remotely
