With inflation rising and reaching double figures in many countries used to a low 1-2% incrase per year in the past, cost of living is on top of the agenda for a lot of individuals.

This months, we have decided to explore two important topics linked to current crisis: You can read about rent control and how it is becoming a trending policy in several countries. We also talk  about the recent agreement to establish an "adequate minimum wage" in each EU member state.

Following the COVID crisis and the successive lockdowns which have forced companies to adapt their way of working, along with the search for a better work-life balance, some companies and even cities are debating the possibilities of reducing the work-week. Is the 5-days work-week over? This is the question we address in our article.

With the war in Ukraine, millions of refugees have flooded to nearby countries. This is the occasion to discuss the notions of "refugees", "immigrants" and "expats". You will read more in our article: Migrant, expat or refugee: the politics of racism?
