As some of you have noticed, we skipped the newsletter for May. However, no worry we are back on track and intend to deliver more news over the summer.
In our Magazine this month we do a bit of catch up with the latest ranking of best/happiest country in the world and review the results of the 2022 World Happiness report. The report is celebrating its tenth anniversary which only proves that this annual accolade is popular enough to keep it operational for ten years. For the rest, not much change: always the same country at the top!
Talking about change, this is definitely something happening in South America. Colombia is in the midst of an election that is looking like it could create a massive political pivot. After polls closed on Sunday 29th May, the leftist presidential candidate Gustavo Petro was in the lead with 40% of the votes against the populist businessman Rodolfo Hernández at 28%. The second round will take place on 19 June.
Other articles talk abot the trend of digital nomads, workers are offered to complete their jobs remotely, as travel restrictions are being eased in many countries. Actually, European countries have been seen competing with each other to entice more remote workers to travel to their shores and diversify their economy with the introduction of new ‘easy-to-apply-for’ digital nomad visas.
