Latest News in our Expat Network

Hello

With over 1.4 million deaths due to the current Coronavirus disease and several thousands more each day, there is one thing certain: Christmas and the festive season are going to feel very different this year. Restaurants, theatres and cinemas will remain close in many countries and you are encouraged to avoid big family reunions.

The turn of the year is going to be critical as many urge to "learn the Canada lesson!": A few weeks after celebrating Thanksgiving in Canada (yes, they celebrate in October in Canada!) the country saw a spike of Covid-19 cases; holiday gatherings appeared to catalyse the spread of the coronavirus.

We just need to be a little bit more patient: The vaccines seem to be around the corner and as we move along the first part of 2021, we should see a return to "normal" (or a new-normal, actually).

Tell your experience

We are always pleased to read expats sharing their experience. That's why we publish regularly expat interviews. If you are a blogger, feel free to register your blog on BlogExpat.com and drop us an email so we can arrange for an interview :-)

Have a look at the recent interviews HERE (we share also on our social media).

And don't forget to share advice and information on the forums.

Many more articles in our Magazine

Last month we were telling you about our new Magazine and new editors joining the team to publish regular articles.

This month, we have been talking about the US election of course (do you know what might be the consequences for expats living in the US? And for American living abroad?) but also about the impact of the covid crisis on teachers (and online learning), healthcare coverage and international movers. And plenty of other topics that you can discover in our Magazine.

For each article, there is a link at the bottom to comment on the forum. We can't wait to see you participate!
