Currently I am a Public Safety Officer with Royal Caribbean International, this position allows me to use my skills and experience but also to develop my knowledge. I enjoy being practical and can turn my hand to anything, and am not afraid to get my hands dirty or of hard work
Expérience:
I am currently a Public Safety Officer with Royal Caribbean International, where I support the Staff Captain in implementing the ship’s safety plan on a daily basis. My role involves investigating incidents, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and overseeing gangway operations, all while maintaining a focus on staff training and development. I have extensive experience in maritime safety, holding various STCW certifications, including in Fire Fighting, Passenger Safety, and Ship Security, which I apply daily to ensure a safe and secure environment for both crew and passengers.
Previously, I worked as a Vessel Deck Hand and AEC, supporting wind farm operations and boat deliveries, while also ensuring the proper maintenance of equipment and assisting with emergency drills. My experience extends beyond maritime roles, having worked as an Airfield Aviation Security Manager at Manchester Airport Group. In this role, I was responsible for ensuring compliance with aviation security regulations, developing operational policies, and implementing procedures to maintain a safe environment for both staff and passengers.
I have also held leadership roles as CEO of Medics Abroad Ltd and H2O Events Ltd, where I successfully increased business revenue and improved client relationships through strategic planning and execution. Additionally, I have a strong background in emergency planning and paramedic services, with qualifications in paramedic science, advanced driving, and health and safety.
With a proven track record in safety, leadership, and problem-solving across multiple industries, I am now looking for a role where I can continue to apply my skills and knowledge while embracing new challenges.
Education:
I hold a Master of Science in Advanced Paramedic Practice from NWAS/UClan, and a Bachelor of Science (Hon) in Paramedic Science (1st) from NWAS/UClan. I also completed a Diploma of Higher Education in Paramedic Science at GMAS-Manchester and an NVQ Level 4 in Paramedic Science from IHCD-Manchester. Additionally, I have a Diploma in Medicine in Remote Areas (Intermediate & Advanced Care) from the Royal College of Surgeons, along with qualifications in Health & Safety, Employment Law, Accident Investigation, and Aviation Security. I am also a Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
