On Monday, the transport secretary told MPs the UK is set to recognise vaccine certificates from 16 further nations, and that will include countries like China and Mexico, bringing the vaccine recognition total to over 180 countries and territories worldwide.
That's a good news because currently the list if recognised vaccination is limited to:
    • Covaxin.
    • Moderna.
    • Janssen (single dose vaccine)
    • Novavax (Nuvaxovid and Covovax)
    • Oxford/AstraZeneca.
    • Pfizer BioNTech.
    • Sinopharm Beijing.
    • Sinovac-CoronaVac
(formulations of these vaccines, such as AstraZeneca Covishield, AstraZeneca Vaxzevria and Moderna Takeda, also qualify as approved vaccines).

As usual we need to be careful with Sharps' announcements, as this government is the king of dubious messages. For instance China is already included with Sinopharm and Sinovac.

So I guess that the announcement should include also Vaccines from Russia (Sputnik V is still to be recognised by the EU) and from Cuba (where vaccination is apparently a big success).

    Any opinion?
