    Hi there,

I am going to be moving to Kuala Lumpur and I have Type 1 diabetes. I have read that I can buy my insulin, strips and needles over the counter. Do I need medical insurance though if I need to see a Dr, or can I just pay for when and if I need to? If I do need medical insurance what are the costs?

    Hello @Will Lowe
I would always recommend private medical insurance when you go abroad, especially as you are not sure about the facilities in the country.
You will find more information about health and insurance in Kual Lumpur in the articles of our expat guide.
