    The sporadic arrival of multiple Covid vaccines during the alarming early days of the pandemic brought a sense of relief and hope for many all over the world. We thought we would be inoculated against the virus, eradicate it and life as we knew it would return soon after.

    But months have passed and problems such as new rapidly-emerging variants, vaccine inequity and problems with vaccine approvals have marred the way forward.
