    Hi Rosie,
    It took us about us about 6 weeks from the time that we initially lodged the application online until the visa was issued. But if you've got everything organised it should be even quicker (it took me a week or two to sort out all the evidence, then another week or more for it to be posted to my fiance who then had to send it to Canberra).
    The BHC in Canberra said that they couldn't issue an application before 3 weeks after having received the postal application, but we were really pushed for time and they were actually really good and did it within a week or so. But if you can you should definitely budget your time better than we did as it was very stressful!

    I'm sorry I've not been getting the email notifications about this topic, so I didn't get to read your fabulous result Jilly. Congrats! Have you guys had the wedding yet?

    Well, I've been offline for almost 2 months now. A month in Turkey and Vegas, we got married in Vegas, and now we've been home almost a month. Had our UK reception last weekend and are currently waiting for the marriage cert to arrive from the USA. Once it arrives we're off to make an appointment to switch me from the WHV to a Spouse visa.

    Bought a big folder last night to put it all in, the pile of things that I want to include keeps getting bigger and bigger :) Like you I think if we give them loads to look at then they will know we're not hiding anything.

    Still gulping at the cost tho, £500 for a same day application :(
