    Hello!

What public transportation is available in Scotland? Is it easy to move about Scotland? What modes of transport are available: Bus? Underground/Subway? Trams? Trains?

Do you use public transportation in Scotland? Can you recommend it? Is it safe, inexpensive, and reliable? What is your experience? How much is a basic fare? Is there a monthly card, or discount options?

Thank you for sharing your tips, questions and advice!

It's quite a broad question you're asking. Prices will vary from one region to the next, safety is usually not an issue that I'm aware of and connections are generally pretty good, unless you're planning to go to the heart of the Highlands where there are no roads.

As for what's available you can start perusing those two websites:
    http://www.transportscotland.gov.uk/
    http://www.travelinescotland.com/welcome.do

    Hope that helps

    Thanks jeanloup.
What about the bus service/bus fares?

Is it mainly Virgin trains in Scotland?
