    Hello and welcome!

Are you planning to move to Tanzania and are worried about the moving process? One of the first steps to succeed with your expatriation is to properly prepare yourself for the move.

How should you arrange the move? Can you do-it-yourself with help from friends, or do you need help from a professional international mover?

What do you plan to take and to leave? Will you need all your furniture, or will it be easier/cheaper to buy most things once you have arrived? Are electrical appliances compatible in Tanzania?

How can you bring your car? Is it worth it?

What tips and advice can you share with us about your move to Tanzania? If you are preparing for your move currently – what questions do you have? If you have already completed a move – what are your tips?

    Thanks in advance for sharing!

    Moving to Tanzania

I am planning a career move to Tanzania within the next few months (Dar es Salaam).

Can anyone give any information / advice about being an expatriate in Tanzania?

Also, I'm panicking as I've got so much to sort out before making the move - can anyone recommend a company which provides international corporate car insurance?

Any and all advice / information would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Moving to Tanzania

    Hello,

I assume you will have to sort out your international move as well.
You can get free quotes on our pages: http://www.easyexpat.com/en/partners/movers.htm

International movers are fully aware of all the needs for international moves. Once you've selected one, they could help you for your move to Tanzania, including international corporate car insurance.

    Best of luck.

Expat recommendation for international car insurance

    Hi all,

    Hopefully someone can help me.

Can anyone recommend a company which offers international car insurance in Tanzania?
Preferably a policy would include third party liability coverage...

Have any expats had a good experience with a particular insurer / do you have a policy at the moment which works well for you as an expat?

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

    Hi Georgina,

I'm happy to give you answers to any queries you have regarding expat life and/or adjusting to Tanzania. Maybe you could private message me with questions...

As for the international corporate car insurance...that's an easy one - I have used Clements Worldwide (based in US) for 2 years now - flexible currency options, borderless coverage, full protection of fleet - perfect for an organisation.

Hope this helps - feel free to message.
