Holidaymakers from England travelling to amber list countries will not have to quarantine on return if they are fully vaccinated... but not if you were vaccinated in the EU! The government said it would not accept any proof of vaccination apart from the NHS app or NHS certificate.
How typical from this uber brexiter government!:mad::mad:

Countries such as France (also Spain, Portugal, Malta...) already accept the NHS app as proof of vaccination, with no quarantine for vaccinated travellers (if you are fully vaccinated, you don't have to show a compelling reason when boarding the Eurostar).

What about all the EU countries saying the same thing to UK travellers: if you want to visit their countries, you will have to self-isolate for 10 days and have the day 2 and 8 tests >£100?

Currently there is no coordination. As it says on the BBC website:
And of course in the UK, they consider only UK vaccination (NHS!). EU is bad!!! Boooo

I guess all will change withing the next few weeks...

Apparently rumours say that France, Italy and Austria will be joining the green list with no quarantine needed in return to the UK and it will be announced in the next few days/week by the UK government...

Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Norway, Vietnam, Denmark, Slovakia, North Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Taiwan and Azerbaijan are also expected to be added at the end of the month.

And it is still changing. Now, the transport secretary has said that details of a plan to allow vaccinated people from abroad into the UK without having to quarantine could be revealed in the "next couple of weeks".

He also confirmed that fully vaccinated adults and all children will no longer have to quarantine on their return from amber list countries from 19 July (which means that amber and green countries will have the same requirements).

However he also said that pre-departure test was still mandatory: ""They will still be required to take a test three days before returning, the pre-departure test, demonstrating they're negative before they travel, and a PCR test on or before day two, but they will no longer be required to take a day eight test."

And now they have a new category called Amber+, just for France !!! so even if you are fully vaccinated, you must also quarantine and pay for the 3-(5)-8 tests. So if you come from Lille/Roubaix, you are Amber+, but if you come from 10 km further in Belgium, that's all ok... complete nonsense!
