Hello and welcome to EasyExpat.com -

This topic is specifically dedicated to new comers in Kenya. We invite you to introduce yourself here!

Why have you come here? Is it for internship? Studies? A job? Or simply in order to discover new lands?

If you have already secured a job, how did you find it? How long do you think you will stay in Kenya?

How was your move? What happened for your first steps here? What was the easiest thing / the most difficult to adapt to?

Thanks in advance for your answers and here’s to a good discussion!

Hello and thank you for the warm welcome on EasyExpat.com!
I’m thrilled to be here and happy to introduce myself. My name is William Adams, a Kenyan-American returning home to Kenya, where I plan to stay as long as I have meaningful projects to pursue. This country holds a special place in my heart, and I’m always excited to return—whether for its vibrant culture, professional opportunities, or simply to reconnect with my roots.
As a researcher with a doctoral degree in African Affairs and Global Curriculum Internationalization, I’ve had the privilege of living and working across multiple continents (Australia, the U.S., Europe, East and Southern Africa, Haiti, and beyond). This diverse experience, combined with my fluency in seven languages (English, French, Kiswahili, Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, Lingala, and others), allows me to bring a unique perspective to projects related to development, education, or regional collaboration.
Currently, I’m looking to contribute remotely—or on the ground—to initiatives that leverage this expertise. I hope this platform can help me find exciting opportunities to collaborate!
Thank you again for this space to connect, and I look forward to engaging with the community.
    Best regards,
    William Adams
