Hello everyone, I'm a Flemish (Dutch speaking) single mom with two children and my dream is to move to Canada. For that I require a permanent job (offer) in Canada. I've been looking myself but it's not very easy to apply from abroad. I assume it's a lot easier via this kind of forum. I'm currently working as a law enforcement officer/ detective in the Belgian Capital Brussels, where i'm required to exercise my profession in both French and Dutch. As a result I write, read and speak French fluently. I'm also Highly proficient in spoken and written English. In the end I wonder if the skills I have (Languages, management, people skills, planning, investigating, researching, reporting, organising, analysing, presentations ...) are enough to find employment in Canada. I truly wish to find a job and I'm wondering how I best go about it. I've been trying to find the right platform where Employer and foreign employee can meet and come to an eventual agreement. Can anyone guide me in the right direction, give me tips or guidelines, maybe websites, where one can apply across oceans for a job? My residential preference goes out to the Vancouver area (BC) and more specifically to Vancouver Island. PS I have also heard that law enforcement officers from foreign countries could apply for law enforcement positions in Canada, but as of yet I haven't found any documentation or information about this. Thank you in advance for any response. Kind Regards
