    Hello expats!

One of the most difficult things about being an expat in Switzerland is making new friends. That is one reason why the forum and the EasyExpat site are so useful, but maybe you would like to meet new people in person. On this thread, we would like to encourage you to arrange a meet-up in Switzerland.

An expat meet-up can be a big group gathering, a brunch, getting a coffee, a language exchange, or a sports activity. What do you like to do for fun? Are you looking for a group to join or want to organize a gathering in Switzerland?

We would be happy to help facilitate a meet-up, or support expats organizing a gathering using our social networks: Twitter, Facebook, Google+ & LinkedIn. Have something you would like to plan? Let us know here!

Check out past gatherings like in Dubai, Milan, or in London

We look forward to hearing about your meet-ups and expat connections. :D

    Running groups in Geneva

    Hi,
I am going to be in Geneva about half my time and am looking for English-speaking running groups to join. Does such a thing exist?

    Thanks!

    Hello & welcome to EasyExpat!

I recommend checking out our Guide to Geneva with info on sports in Geneva. Get in touch with the
You can also connect with other expats and form your own through the expat network in Geneva or expat blogs in Geneva. If you do form your own group - be sure to post info here on the forum!

I also recommend contacting other running groups that may not fit exactly what you are looking for for references, like the Nordic Club (http://www.nordics.ch/), Geneva Hash House Harriers (http://www.genevahhh.com/), American Women’s Club of Zurich (http://www.awczurich.org/), etc.

    Best of luck!
