    Hello expats!

    One of the most difficult things about being an expat in Martinique is making new friends. That is one reason why the forum and the EasyExpat site are so useful, but maybe you would like to meet new people in person. On this thread, we would like to encourage you to arrange a meet-up in Martinique.

    An expat meet-up can be a big group gathering, a brunch, getting a coffee, a language exchange, or a sports activity. What do you like to do for fun? Are you looking for a group to join or want to organize a gathering in Martinique?

    Hi All!
    I would like to call the attention of English-speaking people living in Martinique to a great thing going on: the search for an English speaking community can be finally over!
    The English Meeting Martinique Association (EMMA) was created to build and English speaking community in Martinique. Our main goal is to help English-speaking people find each other; foreigners who'd like use their mother tounge and locals who'd like to have the possibilty to practice the language in 'real life'. We organize friendly events, approximately once a month.

    Meetups for English speakers - boat trip !!

    Hey guys,

    If you feel like meeting other expats in Martinique or socialize with open-minded people from Martinique, you should visit one of the events of English Meeting Martinique Association (E.M.M.A.), it's full of cool people and the atmophere is awesome !
    They have meeting every two weeks, and special events every now and then.. the next one is boat trip for example ! I'd like to go, but it seems there aren't enough people for the moment to be able to rent the boat. (it will take place on the 12th June, but the tickets need to be bought in advance, before the 2nd June the latest.)
    The catamaran will sail off from La Marin and will go towards les Salines.
