Hello We are a family of four, due to move to Lux end July. I will be visiting with eldest son end of June. I plan to squeeze in a few viewings of potential housing. Am i realistic in thinking it may be possible to 'seal the deal' on a place as a visitor only, or would i need to be living there ideally? E.g would i need to provide an address in luxembourg to get anywhere with the real estate people/ landlord or would my current overseas address suffice? My husband's company would provide security etc. I don't fancy the idea of living in a hotel or serviced apartment for weeks while furniture ships if i can help it..
Living in a temporary space when you first move abroad can afford you time to learn about the city and find out where you would like to live and what options are available. The expat guide to Luxembourg can help you understand the process and find out about moving to the country. Finding accommodations, renting, and more are covered. To get a better idea of where to look, you may want to try to connect with expats in Luxembourg. Anyone have advice?
