    I only have one question: do I need to apply for work visa if I get an summer internship for 2 months? I am now holding the German student visa and studying in Germany for my master degree.

    Yes, you need to apply for a visa (in any case, the UK is not part of the Schengen agreement so a German visa does not allow to go to the UK).

    oh! thz for your reply! I have the visa free access to the uk for 6 months according to my citizenship. but I am now wondering if i apply for some internships in the uk, do I need to apply for internship visa or temporary work visa?

    In general only EU citizen are entitled to work without visa.
    You should only be able to come as a tourist.

    Every country has different rule and regulation for immigration. No matter what types of residency you want, you need a different visa for every different country. German student visa is of no use for staying in UK. You have to apply for work visa if you get summer internship. Further, if you have free access to the UK for 6 month, you can visit on that as a visitor. You need to apply for work visa separately.
