Did you get your dependents visa now?.
I am staying in Brussels for last 10 months and applied for my dependent visa on 16 May in Mumbai consulate and right now it is pending in Brussels Immigration office.
I am very much worried about the longer processing time here.

My husband is working in Belgium and we got married this February.

we have filed a dependent visa application to Belgium on 31st march 2014.

we don't know the exact time line for dependent visa processing.

can anyone please let me know how long will it take to get my dependent visa.

Does this 3 months timeline refer to how long my husband has been staying there in belgium or does it refer to filing the application within 3 months from the date of marriage.

My husband has been staying in belgium for more than a year and we have filed dependent visa through the company in which my husband is working.

Could you please share your personal mail id or mobile number so that we can contact you in person.

We have browsed so much regarding this dependent visa and first time we are getting such a detailed info from you.

I am working for an Indian company and we have applied for dependent visa of my wife via my company on Jan 6th 2014 in Mumbai , it reached Brussels on Feb6th 2014 and still no decision yet .Highly frustrating !!. Can some one help me out to accelerate ,I am ok to pay if there is any emergency process

You have to select the consulate in first drop down (Mumbai etc) and second text box you have to enter your visa file number at consulate . You can get it from VFS I guess , in my case my company had given the file number it is 6 digit number something like 337681 then click on "cherchez le dossier" button

Thank you for the info.We are also in the same situation.My husband is working with an indian company in brussels and we had also filed dependent visa application via his company.We have also been trying to find out ways to speed up the process but nothing is working out.As you said this visa process is highly frustrating.

My husband got his workpermit and we are planning to apply for both of our VISA(Mine to be dependent) in two days. I got to know from the VFS office that dependent VISA might take a bit too long to get. Is this usual if the primary person and dependent apply for VISA together.

Will the dependent VISA be delayed even if the application has been submitted along with primary applicant.

I'm currently in Brussels on dependent visa. My visa took 4 months as well, and from the feedback received from other dependents, an average of 3-4 months is the norm in dependent visa processing. A general notion is that if the primary candidate (the one getting the work permit) has stayed in Belgium for more than 6 months, then the visa file is processed in Belgium, which will take at least 3 months, no exceptions that I've heard of. Processing is slow here. Thankfully I didn't quit my job while applying.
But again, there may be cases in which even if both primary candidate and dependents apply for visa together, the processing time will be 3+ months. Something to do the limitations of identity clearance by VFS - when they're not sure of something, the file goes to Belgium.

I would say that if you're a dependent and have applied and the VFS status says that the file has gone to the Belgium Ministry, just try sticking it out for the next 3 months . And keep checking the status on the site https://dofi.ibz.be/sites/dvzoe/EN/Appl ... ation.aspx
Get the file no. from the company and use google translate to know the status.

Hi All,
I have been waiting and waiting for my dependent visa and nothing much happend.
My visa submitted to vfs on 28th July and on 5th it went to Belgium for further assessment. On 27th august the file reached to Belgium office and i can see the status as processing in dofi website. Can anyone out of there experience let me know how much more time it may take to process?

Is your spouse living in Belgium for more than 6 months?

If so, you have to wait for a minimum of 12 weeks from the date of registration of your case file in Belgium.
