hi there....... i am a canadian citizen that is with a german man and i want to be able to stay in germany with him. we are trying to figure out how to do this....but we are having so much confusion, and it is really hard to get anyone to really help explain our options to us. i have a job offer....but i need a work visa in order to take the job. so we went to get the papers to get a working visa.....and it just looks like it is a resident permit.....? i am not sure. they told us that i can be here for up to 9 months in a year...but i have to leave every three months....is this correct? and i dont understand if my working visa would only be valid for the first 3 months.....or if they will continue to give me working visas for up to 9 months out of the year. i arrived in europe a bit over a month ago so every 3 months i have to leave the schengen countries? this part is causing us some confusion as well. does anyone know of the way we should be going about all this?? i know our other option is marriage.....but to be honest we are unclear if this will even help our situation.....and how that all works either....... if anyone can give any insight into this situation it would be greatly appreciated. thanks so very much! roxane
Hi Roxane I'm also a Canadian who it with a german girl. I don't know how to help you but I wish i could. I was wondering if maybe you could help me. I'm deeply in love with a girl in Germany and I will do anything to be with here. I was wandering how I can go there it doesn't matter how long it is just as long as I can go there for more then 3 months. I'm doing everything I can to go there I've applied at about a dozen homestay forms to go to Germany and work exchange forms also. If theres any way you can help me please reply I would be very happy to here from you. Thank you Chris Aitken
Schengen Zone If you were to Google the Schengen Zone, you will find that the U.K. is part of the E.U., but not in the Schengen. That way you would not have to far to travel to deal with the visa. Good luck.
