I just arrived on Monday from Toronto, also knowing no one. The first few days have been interesting, especially given my limited French. It's getting better though.

What city are you from (do you know Bob from Red Deer? )?

What area of Paris are you in? How did you find your place? Tried to open a bank account yet? Societe Generale has a good section on its website for expats. No, I don't work for them.

I am 28 yrs old and I am working in Paris for the moment. I will be here until the middle of July and the returning 3 weeks later for another 2 months.
Normally I live in Frankfurt, Germany and work there. I know no one over here and I haven't used my french in ages.
