You have to decide what you are going to do in London. I would say that you've got 2 main options:

- you can try to find a flatshare and then a job. You will find information about accommodation in the EasyExpat section. For jobs, my best advice is to have a look in shops and pubs when you are in London. You will have adverts in the Loot also.
But bear in mind that London is very expensive. You will pay probably 400 pounds per month for a flatsharing not too expensive. You will have to add the transport on top (about 70 pounds for a 2 zone tube pass per month)

-on the other hand, you've got the possibility to be an au pair. That's probably the best option (my personnal advice however) regarding your age, and the fact that you are looking for a break to improve you English. Zabou is an au pair in London and you can discuss with her on the forum about the conditions (she promised to send a contribution to EasyExpat about what to do to become an au pair and the conditions...)
