    Hello,

I'm really desperate for help in our case. My girlfriend is Japanese and her visa expired a few days ago, so she had to go back to Japan. I'm a Spanish national living in the UK since July 2011 with a full time job.

We have been together for around 6 months and we love each other as we have a really intense love story, and I would like to bring her back so we could live together and get married at some point. I have been reading about EEA2, and any option so she could come back but it seems that the minimum would be 2 years just to have a chance to apply.

She has been studying and working in the UK for the past years (2005-2008) and then 2010 to the past week, but her company didn't get the chance to renew her visa.

What are the chances for us to be living together in the UK?

Should I hire a lawyer or a company to help my case? Would it be helpful?

Also, what would be for us the easiest way to be together in any country where we could both get a visa so we can stay together in case there wasn't an option for the Uk?

I just need some hope, and a lot of help or any ideas....

    Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your situation. It will definitely be a bit difficult now that the visa has expired. Your best chances are usually by hiring an immigration attorney to organize your case, but this is a very expensive option.

I would refer you first to the FAQ section of departures that offers advice on EEA2, UK Fiance Visa, etc.

I hope that helps! Best of luck.

Since you don't have a provable 2 years cohabitation, your relationship doesn't have a legal definition I am afraid. I would rather look into alternate options for example student or visit visa.

    Good luck !

    Thanks for your replies!

Would marriage increase the chances to get a visa? We intend to do it anyway.

I read that in order to get a fiancé visa or if I want to bring her here to get married I got to provide maintenance funds of up to 27 months (Which must be a lot!)

    Any aproximation would be welcome,

    Thanks again
