Wow- it really looks like you have done what you can to prepare. Well done! :)

I think you are well beyond this stage, but the EasyExpat FAQ "What is a UK EEA Family Permit?" seeks to help clarify what it is and how to apply.

I do not have experience applying in the UK, but just wanted to wish you luck. Applying for visas is always a lot of preparation and a little bit of luck. Please let us know how it goes.

Yea - Congratulations! Looks like your time & effort paid off.

For other people who are applying, about how long did it take from application to receiving the stamp? I see you first posted in September.

    Hello
Congratulations for your EEA family permit, I am in similar situation like you and your list of documents have been very useful. I was wondering if you clarify few doubts I have please?

    1. photographs - We had a civil marriage, hence we do not have any ceremony pictures. However, we have pictures of us travelling in EU and India. How should be these photo given to them, can I make a collage and print it? or they need a album?
    2. Besides this, many of them have stated to have provided joint bank accounts, which we have but there are no funds. We have individual bank accounts abroad which we will be presenting. Will this be ok.
    3. We have marriage certificate from India. This has a apostille seal and certified by ministry of external affairs. Do be need marriage certificate from EU nation as well?
    4. I read in many blogs, the EU national will need her passport to be endorsed? Is this necessary in my case. As we both are in India and I can issue her passport along with mine? How should one endorse it?
    5. We have National Insurance Numbers from UK. This was many years ago before we met. Will it be good to provide this to UK border?
    6. I was advised that other supporting documents like, phone history, photos, travel history and academic records will be helpful for the application? Do I need to provide this evidence, please clarify?
    7. Do any other documents apart from indian and EU passport need to be provided in original? If yes, will this be returned?
    8. How early before my leave to the UK can I apply for the visa?
    9. Does the EU spouse need to be in UK before to exercise her rights? She has only been to UK whist she was a student many years ago before we met. She has a NI number though. Does she require to provide any additional document to be 'qualified' sponsor?
