i have lot of queries as we are planning to move to uk

i am doc over here in pak and my wife is french national but she is residing in pak from last 15 years and had done her bachelors n currently doin mphil in biotechnology from the univ over here in pak.so her education is from pak but we are thinking to apply for da job and i think its really difficult to apply for the job frm here in pak(online) plus we dont know for which jobs to apply so that she get it easily as she will be doing a job she will be exercising her treaty rights and i can get there easily.we both want to move to uk together and it seems difficult that we cld both move together without her job.

    my questions are:-

could she be able to get her job easily thru online job searches or is it feasible that we both cld move to uk and search for the job n wt will be the way in that case?

cld i apply for family permit on the basis of job seeking and wt will be the chances of getting my family permit?

and if we apply on self sufficient basis wt wld be the amount in our account to show for self sufficient?amount of 4 to 5k GBP is enuf to show till we get da job plus i m planning for my gmc registration in the mean time?wt will be the chances in this case?

plus my wife is expecting and hopefully she will be giving birth to a child this month so we shld be applying along with that child

she also have prb with name chg on her educational documents...her name on passport is hena naeem and da name on her edu docs is hira naeem and we r currently trying to correct it.does we write in her CV hena naeem alias hira naeem?

sorry for i have asked so many Qs
please help me any kind soul in this regard. bundle of thanks in advance

1 - Will be rather difficult to get the job confirmed online specially given the current state of job market in the UK but for the same reason, it wouldn't be very wise to move to UK and then look for work. Best would be if you could line up a few interviews before you travel. This matter really depends on what is convenient for you according to your situation.

I do find it very strange though that she doesn't know which jobs she should be applying for. If she has been studying this faculty, she should know what jobs are for her. Besides, you need to know what you are looking for before you start looking !

2 - Yes you can but the chances would be very low, almost none. But of course, it all depends on how ECO would see your case.

3 - For your wife to declare self-sufficiency, she would still need a source of continuous revenue and mere showing a certain amount of money wouldn't be enough. Looking for work on the other hand can't be combined with self-sufficiency. You have to choose one.

4 - Applying for child wouldn't affect your application.

5 - This is the most serious one and you should take it that way. You will obviously be providing her education papers as supporting documents so the names have to match.

    Good luck

thank you very much yousafzai u have been a gr8 help not even to me but to every1 on this forum cz i have seen many of ur replies. u r givin so muchh of ur precious time to this forum.

and yes u r right it is difficult to get the job over internet but it seem difficult even to secure an interview via internet... although she have applied for sum lab assistant jobs n the consultant said we need you to be here n he further said u r overqualified for this job. He also said to let me know when u will be in uk then i will register ur details + ur add here in uk.

so i think its difficult but not impossible to get the ivs.

so if she has job ivs then my chances of getting family permit wld be more.it seems right abt wt u said.

self sufficiency is not the right option so i think jobseeking option along with sum ivs in hand for job wld be the best option to apply for family permit.

regarding the child do u know how to register with the french embassy for that child registration so that the baby get french national?do u know da process abt that?

she is expecting n her school is in another city so her name chg process might be delayed till the end of this month.n hope so till aug sept it wld be settled

sorry to ask many questions again...but i want to clarify myself before planning our move to uk.

    thanks once again
