Hi there! Im 20 years old n pregnant. I was born in germany n got a german passport. Means im a EU national!!! im married to an canadian citizen....n now we cant live wid each other bcoz of sum personal reasons.....we are not going to divorce bcoz of my baby but are officialy seperated living now. im living in germany till now at my parents place. But its not possible to live here for tht long time. i want to move to UK wid my newborn baby. i just need some help to knw which rights a single mother have got in UK?? Who can i ask for help?? You haven't asked about any specific rights but you have the same rights as UK citizens in terms of benefits, employment, tuition fees etc.
The right to pay tuition fees Soon to be £10000/year... I know a lot of British who would like to get rid of this "right".

With you daughter you should be able to claim for Child Benefit. You will find information on the HM Revenue and Customs website. I quote from the website: You shouldn't worry about tuition fees for the baby right now, but it may apply to you as they are fees to pay to go to University. In a nutshell, Tony Blair's government set up very controversial fees up to £3000/year to attend university 5 years ago and they are now going to be raised up to £9000/y by the new British government.
