    Hello everybody,

i woud appreciate any advice on my questions, so please let me know what you think..I have some questions to ask , please if someone know about eea family permit,

frankly my intentions are that i want to join my italian girlfriend in uk and to live and work there too. but i can see some difficulties in applying the visa EEA Family Permit.. As Unmarried, and will explain to you what it is still makes me very confused :

    - My italian girlfriend she's live and work in the uk with no permanent residence!!
    - She doesn't own or rent a home, just shares a single room with the other persons in a apartement, <do not have a contract of rent>,
    - I've heard that if we plan to apply for EEA Family Permit, we have to proof that we have lived together for 2 years, how we could proof that? we know each other 2 years now but never lived together just visiting each other for few days.

    Thank you!

As i have answered on a different topic, u wont be given a EEA family permit if u r not married or have not lived together for 2 yrs... all i can advise u is to apply for fiance visa (for 6 months) and then marry in UK...
If she lives in a flat then she should be able to get a letter from the owner of the flat (unless she shares a friend's room and is not actually paying for it)...
I hope this will help a bit but ask for any info if u're still stuck....

    yes yes very stuck!

in fact, we know each other since two years now and we kept visiting each otehr for few week,s and traveling togther in differnet countries, but i wonder even we lived togther, the contract rent of home will be on ma name or her name, not both of us. anyway this eaa family permit i see it diffecult maybe

and as for the visa fiance!!! she doesnt have a permanent residence!!! and she rent a room, could she ask for a letter of the owner? no, they dont give letters for who rent only rooms!?

i do understand ur situation... living together means having bills and rent contract to both names and for a period of 2 yrs at least... so i am sorry to say that eea permit is not for u yet...
As for fiance visa, it's ur only option...she can ask for a letter even she rents a room only... as long as she pays for it, it counts...but it might then be difficult for u to prove she has proper accomodation for both of u... unless the owner says in the letter it is ok for u to live there too...

I could also say for u to ask for tourist visa (for 6 months) and u stay together and then marry her abroad (cos u cant marry in uk when u do a tourist visa)... then once married, u can apply for EEA2 ....
hope this will help a bit... pls ask if not sure ... good luck ....

i dont think she does but it depends how long she has been in uk and how long she has been working...
my husband came with a fiance visa but i have lived here 10 yrs and rent a flat on my own... so i am not 100% sure if she will be able to sponsor u... i think the best thing to do is call the European dept of HO ( 0845 010 5200) and ask for more details...

hi can i ask what is the required amount of support to my fiance in the philipines is??

coz i have a stable 25 to 30 hours a week job that leaves me with 200 to 300 a month left...

but i work in a restaurant that depends on the customers coming and going but we make 25 thousand pounds a week and i make a 100 pounds in tips a month that pays for extra stuff...

My flat is one room with a small kitchen and shower room with a sofa bed ... is it enough to prove that its adequate?

If you can help me with this i would very grateful and appreciative ..

    Thank you for your time!

as long as u have bills and rent contract it should be fine... give them some bank statements and they will see how much u make and how much u can afford... if u r the sponsor, u will need to show a lot of papers (payslips, tax papers, bills... )and also the proof that u have been in contact since u met (phone bills with her number, pictures of u both, msn conversation if u can, and also plane ticket that u have actually met)... but the HO website gives a lot of info...

the website is www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk and u need to go into the different sections....
I cant remember which one for fiance visa...but i think we did ours on this site http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/ApplyNow.aspx... it gives u the list of docs and where to send the application....if ur girl is in the phillipines, enter the country on site and they will give u the info...

    good luck...

BTW, working 40 hours should be more than enough.... all that matters is how much money u have... that's all...!!!
