    I would really appreciate some advice on my situation.

    Nearly 2 years ago i started to date a guy in the uk, he was on student visa and had over stayed his stay, he had been here for a maximum of 5 years and without realising he had over stayed he was asked to leave so he had to go back to pakistan. Now being over a year, and due to family complications i cant marry him, however his father is a uk resident, but coz my bf is 29 years old his father cant bring him over and neither can i bring him over on marriage visa. Can someone tell me what would be our options please.

    Did he get a ban ? I assume its a one year ban but he should still check. He can of course apply for any type of visa to come back to UK even though he would find it hard to convince the ECO since he has breached the immigration rules in the past.
