    Hello yousufzai..!!

I have been reading your posts a lot on the forum since last few days and they were very helpful for me, but now i need some more information regarding my case here, i am a pakistani living in pakistan holding a bachelors degree and working in a multinational communication company since last three years, i came across a thai origin girl who is holding eea nationality residing currently in uk and working since last more then 1 and half year and we were in a relationship since two years by now, on the 1st of this month she visited me here in pakistan, karachi and at last we got married to each other and i am holding my official marital documents as well. Else that i have been reading/ asking information from several concern people online and in person too, but i have few ambiguities which are stated bellow:

    1) if i am applying for an eea family permit are they going to conduct an interview regarding my application, if yes what possible questions could be asked?

    2) i have got the marital certificate do it needed to be attested / stamped by foreign affairs from pakistan (although its already stamped and attested by the court and the magistrate ) before submission ?

    3) i have got the scanned copies of my wife's passport but only the front page of it is certified by the eu consulate, do i need to get all the other pages attested as well?

    4) we never met in person else cam / chat / phone earlier to our marriage, what could be the extra evidence should be provided to strengthen the case in front of embassy?

These are few concerns of mine which i need to get cleared and i will be hoping for your timely response as i have already got an appointment for the submission of my application three days from now. Kindly help me out with this. Thanks

1 - Not necessarily but they of course can ask you in for interview. Questions, Most probably about your relationship and how much you know about your wife. Nothing to worry about as long as the relationship has been genuine.

2 - No. But make sure you provide attested English translation of it.

    3 - No.

4 - Get whatever you can, e-mails, chat history, phone cards used for calling etc.

    Good luck

    hello yousafzai..!!

Thanks for the timely response, i have just collected some information today from the vissa application center in karachi, and they have given almost the same information as your replies, but yet the guy on the phone said to me that i need to get all the pages of passport certified from the relevant resources as it is asked in the checklist. More over i have got few more things to ask you, if i need to give the photographs of our civil wedding in the city court in which form do i need to provide them ? Prints or cd ? And what about the video of the ceremony ? Last but not the least she always used to call me from her skype account and i have got her calling details along with me but though there arent any chats saved ? Do you think they would be enough ? I appreciate your concern. Thanks again.

I am honestly not aware of any such checklist but since EEA Family Permit application requirements may vary depending on the location, you should provide the copy with pages certified - if possible. If its not possible for you for any reason, put in a cover letter and explain why you can't attest all the pages.

Pictures should be printed ones. You don't have to provide a pile of them, a few should be enough with you both and the family.

No need to provide video recording.

I have no idea how does the Skype thing works but as long as it shows that you both were communicating, that should be enough.

    Good luck
