i am an australian citizen, my wife is dual australian / irish. She is currently living in london, working for an australian company remotely (paid in aus dollars, paying aus tax etc) she is also doing a part time unpaid internship for a london charity.

I am about to apply for an eea family permit to join her (applying in germany). As she has been there for 6 months, we need to prove she is 'qualified'. Will her income from her australian job (about £1600 per month) be accepted as proof of self sufficiency?

She is looking for work in the uk, relying on her australian income for support in the meantime. Would it be best to put on the application that she is a job-seeker, or self sufficient? Or does it not matter what i put if i explain all this in a letter?

Secondly, for proof of comprehensive medical insurance, will her nhs card be sufficient? (even though she is not making any ni contributions at the moment???)
