Does anybody know if it is possible to work part-time, legally, in Poland on a regular Tourist Visa?

I'm an American citizen, not married to anybody, here in Poland to visit family (Christmas was great!) and apply for my Confirmation of Polish Citizenship in person in Warsaw.

It looks like I need to stay here for 2-4 months to go through the whole process with Warsaw. And I really need some more funds to be able to sit here that long (even though I have a place to stay with family).

I thought I read on a French website once that a Tourist could work 15 hours per week without any complicated Work permit. Also in France, there is a new "Talents or Skills" Visa allowing you to work if you have a special skill to impart in France that will help France become more awesome. Although what they mean exactly is not clear. Would my talent as a circus fire dancer count as one of those skills, for example?...

Anyway, has anybody heard of anything like this in Poland? The part-time allowance, or the Skills/Talents allowance? And what about Performers/Entertainers special visa, if I am going to make my own gigs and don't have them in place yet?

As for getting a job, I am sure I would be a very good English teacher, although I don't have my TEFL cert yet... and I also teach dance, fitness, meditation, yoga and hula hoop dancing (yes, it's true). Yoga is not so big here but there is one place in this small village that has classes. (I will go talk to them soon as they are open again after the holidays!).

Yes I am aware of Student Visas but don't have the money to fly back to the states to get it at my local Consul's office. I am eager to take a class in the Polish language, right away, but I doubt that the minimal class frequency that I could afford would be "eligible" for a student visa status anyway.

I just need to be able to make a little bit of cash, right away, for the next 2-4 months. In Poland. As a tourist. Maybe somebody can recommend a travel website that I could possibly write for, and get paid back in the states? :)

    Thanks! Dziękuję! -

Any sort of work in the US requires you to have a work visa (H1b, L1b, L1a, TN, O, etc). A B2 Tourist Visa does not grant you tha ability to work legally.

You definitely need a work permit to work in Poland. For a circus dancer - you can work 30 days in a year without a work permit - it is +- 2,5 day in a month
