    Hi!
    I got married in May 2007. We are getting divorced. My wife is an italian National. How would it effect my stay here in UK ??

    And what optioins do i have got to extend my visa?

    would my visa get cancelled?

    Can i change it to student visa?

    You are covered by the European right of free movement until the decree absolute is issued. You would need to be married for at least 3 years to retain your right of residence, so I think that is not an option.

    You can and you should, but you cannot apply within the UK. You will have to go back to your country for the application.

    Actually i was out of country for 2 months that my wife was running
    extra marital affair. and She will file for divorce in a month time and i think in two months time,i'll get degree of absolute.

    Can i apply for HSMP while living in UK. if yes,in what sort of time frame,do i have to apply for HSMP.

    or what other kind of visa can i apply while still living in UK.


    i'm going through big emotional shock as well. i'm trying that we get patched up as i love her. but looks she's become blind with new guy.

    One more question ,we married in 2007 but i got visa in 2008 november, so those 3 years would count from 2008 november or 2007?to keep my visa valid?
