    Hi.All !
I am thinking to apply EEA2 but my situation is a bit complicated so it would be great if someone can help me.
I am non-EEA national and my partner is French. We met in UK therefore I didn't come to UK with him as a partner.
We've been together in UK more than 2 years and got some documents to prove our relationship but we are not married.
I am a student visa holder and I will finish my study in August 2009 when my visa will be expired as well.
My questions are that an application of EEA2 is correct for me as I am already in UK? Is it possible to apply EEA2 by a person holding student visa?
Is it possible to apply EEA2 as a partner for a person who didn't come to UK with EEA national ?
As I couldn't find info on Home office web, it would be really great if someone can give an advice or had similar case.

    Thank you

If you have 2 years worth of documentary evidence supporting your cohabitation as 'unmarried partners' then you can make an EEA2 application on these grounds. It does not matter that you are on a student visa. But do be aware that as you are considered an 'extended family member' of a EU national and not a 'family member' (spouse, civil partner), you will have to abide by the conditions of your existing visa while your application is being processed until the HO makes a decision on your application.

Check the BIA website for more info.

    Good uck

Thank you for your kind reply. I've found the definition of unmarried partner of EEA national in the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006, Section8.5.
I've finished to prepare all the documents I need and although, there are a few documents jointly addressed, the total documents showing a same address are more than 60.
I also got an advice from a local citizen legal advisor and he confirmed that it should be fine.
I will send them tomorrow and will see....

    Thank you !

    Unmarried partners

Hi! Can u please help me by sharing with some information?
I have got a similar situation as yours and my student visa expires in august 2009. My partner is from EEA (Poland) and Id like to switch onto an Unmarried partners visa.
We are in relationship about 2 years and lived together for 1 year, but the problem is a have no much proves to show that we lived together for 2 years, ive got just recent (made in May 2009)joint account, joint bills, some photos, visa which I traveled to Poland to see her parents, may be some travel tickets and possibly I can do the confirmation from landlord that we lived together.
Can you please tell me: any chances to get permission to stay with my partner? What the procedures do I need to take?
And you may know the good adviser who really can help for reasonable price.

    Hope you understand
    Thanks
