    hi welcome to the UK.
I had excatly the same situation with me. My wife is from Hungary and I am from India so I came here on a marrige visa and after marrige my wife applied for WRS ( which will cost you now around £90 at that time it was £70). You will have it in 2-3 months ( my wife had in 2 months). when you will have it than you can send this WRS certificate along with your husband's passport etc documents to HM and he will have FMRS valid for one year. I had FMRS in 3 months so hopefully your husband will have it soon. I heard that if you are married and living outside for 2 yrs you can apply for residency visa directly. But I am not sure.

Beware PHOTOCOPY EVERYTHING WHICH YOU WILL SEND TO HOME OFFICE.

HAVE A NOTE OF SPECIAL REFERENCE NUMBER OF THE ENVELEOPE WHICH YOU WILL USE TO SEND AND ALSO YOU CAN SEND THEM A SELF ADDRESSED ENEVELOPE.

GIVE ALL YOUR PAYSLIPS AND HIS ALSO

    ANY ACCOMODATION CONTRACT

    PHONE BILLS TRAVELLING TICKETS ETC

    TC AND BEST WISHES

    hi again

Hi, I too wish that you will have your WRS papers back as soon as possible.
So after having a job my wife obtained contract papers of job and than she send her papers to HO. They send 2 sets to the workplace and her manager gave one HO paper to her which was a WRS paper with my wife’s pic on it. After that we send my passport, our pay slips, her WRS paper, bills etc and in 3 months I had my FMRS. It finished in Feb. After 12 months of job we are now applying for Registration Certificate for my wife and Residency Card for me. They are called EEA forms. We send these forms in Feb and are still waiting for these. HO is very slow in processing these application. Its more than 6 months now.

    Hi Again

Hi, no problem you can ask me questions as much as you like.
Well officially you cannt travel outside the UK till your application is in progress BUT what you can do is that you can request your passports back etc from HO and while coming back to the UK your husband ( Non EEA/EU) can apply for an entery clearence visa from UK embassy from Czech Embassy. Its free of charge and valid for either 6 months or 1 yr. When you will be back than submit your passports etc back to HO.

Your application will not be affected durining this process.

Well you are lucky that you were born in such a beautiful country Czech Republic. We had been there last year and we fell in love with Prague so much that we were planning again this year but due to my passport now we have to wait till next year.

TC and just onw question what type of visa does your husband is having now and whats its validity? Did you manage to find a job and your hubby too?

Hi sorry I didnt understand your question.

Well if he has a visa for one year than I will suggest you to wait till you have your WRS and than wait for 12 months and than you can go Personally to Croydon for your Residency Card. They will issue on the same day. BUT BEWARE your husband must not be overstayed or cross his visa limit even for one day other wise HO will create problems.

    hi,

he doesn't have visa for one year. he has only EEA Family permit for 6 months (expires in Feb 09) so he needs to get his residency stamp, once I get my WRS. My question was, while waiting those 12 months and he will have his residency stamp in his passport (hopefully :) ), can he leave the country and come back without applying for any more visa or EEA Family permit?

    thanks again.

    Re: confusion

hi, i am sorry, probably i can't explain it good. so here I try again. thank you for your patience.
He is here legally. He is here on EEA family permit, which will expire in February next year. (so still time there)
I just applied for WRS and I am waiting, once I get my certificate, we will apply for HIS residency stamp, which can be obtained only if I register with WRS.
so i was wondering will he be able to travel once he will have a residency stamp in his passport? (this is not a residency card or permit, it is only a stamp, which is given to non-EU nationals married to A8 nationals)

we can't apply for Residency permit yet, because I haven't finish my 12 months WRS.

thank you for your help and patience with me.
    regards.

    Hello

Hi now I understand your question. Well the residency stamp FMRS is actually a one year Visa to stay here work here etc as a family member of an EU citizen. It looks similar to this http://www.swedenabroad.com/%2FSelectIm ... nceEEA.jpg
Instead of 5 yrs its for 1 yr and yes ofcourse your husband can travel anywhere free. Amsterdam Hungary are countries in my mind which are offering a travel with no visa required if you have FMRS or any uk residency visa.

Good thing is that if your husband wishes to go to czech republic than he can have a visa on the border.

We ( my wife and me) are planning to go to Prague next summer.

    Happy days…

    Re: Hello

    hi there,
thank you very much. great news that he can travel and come back with no problem. my husband holds Czech republic residency permit so he doesn't really need visa and he does't need visa to any other Schengen country.

so the residency stamp doesn't really look like a stamp more like a visa.

so thank you again and wishing you all the best and nice time in Prague next year!!!

    best regards,
    jana

    Dear Jana,
my pleasure if you are happy.
Unfortunately Home Ofice is taking a lot time in issuing the visas. I submitted my application in Feb 08 still no answer. I wish your Husband will have his FMRS soon.
