    Hi,

    my wife and I will be moving to Brussels from London in Summer 2009. We will both be working in the city centre but we are unsure where to live. We are happy to rent at first and ideally we would like to avoid a difficult commute so perhaps a central location would suit best. However, we would like a garden so maybe slightly further out would be easier. Finally we would like a french speaking neighbourhood so that we can improve our French! Any suggestions would be most welcome.

    Hi Brown007,

    My family and I have been living in Brussels for a year now. We did much research on where to live cause my husband works in the city. We live in Woluwé Saint Lambert. I highly recommend it. There are plenty of parks and it is only 4 metro stops into the city. If you go closer to the city like Etterbeek or Ixelles, it looks more like a city and it is hard to get an apt with a garage. Very rare to find a place with a garden but it is doable. WSL is mostly French speaking. You want to avoid Saint Génèse Rhode and Overijse because you would be forced to learn Flemish in order to be integrated into the community. Hope this helps.
