    Hello Easy Expat
Would you be able to advise us on landlord-tenant relationship?
Sorry, it might sound like a scary tale, but that how we live.
We rent double room in a house with landlord in it. There are mouses, cockroaches, bugs. There are bed bugs, which bite me, my baby and live red swollen area-very itchy for the whole week.
We told our landlord-she doesn't do anything. She have bought a new house and says-if we are not happy- to move to the new house.
We don't want to move because all letters with important documents are coming on that address.
Is there anything we could do?

    Hello
I'm sorry for all that confusion. There's another matter now on.
Our landlord wants us to move. She is doing some kind of private renting. She is not registered with the agency.
We asked her for a written notice and she does not want to give, she says she'll get in trouble. Is that true?

Do you have a contract (Tenancy agreement)? If yes, it should show the notice period that has to be given.

No we don't have a contract for the same reason. She didn't give it because she says she'll get in trouble.
We don't want to give her any trouble.
    Council asks for a written notice,if you homeless they'll help.But we haven't a written notice.And we can't afford a studio flat.
Is that true that she'll get in trouble?

No it's not true... it's you who are in trouble if you don't have any contract for renting the property :(

She got this advise from her social-security lady, that if she gives us a written notice -she'll get in trouble.
Is there anything we could do? We need to move in a month time. Council could help if we have a written notice. Is there way to get it or council to help us without it?
For other property they ask a month deposit and month rent ahead. We can't afford it.
(We had a contract with her signature on . Now it's 3 month over.)

I've been to the Council They said IT IS true that our landlord will get in trouble if she gives us a written notice...
The only thing that is bothering me now: if the council do not possess our application form by the time we have to leave Is she allowed to kick us out of the house any time she wants by the law ?Can she call the police?
If the council is not there and we cannot afford a separate accommodation-we literally have no where to go?

Anyway, if you can prove that you paid regular rent, even without a proper contract the landlord would have great difficulty to kick you off without a proper notice.

    How could we prove that?
The only thing we could do is to ask neighbors whether she had problems with us, but they might not know -they didn't see.
I'd assume if we were not paying -we wouldn't live here?
What is a decent notice-one month?
If after notice runs out we have no were to go -is there nothing could be done?
I'm sorry if im bothering you with all this questions.

Easy to do: are you not able to show bank statement showing a regular amount paid/debited from your account at regular time - say every month?

you better call for an exterminator and do the needful so that you are safe. The landlords don't usually hear to the tenants.

It is a common to find landlord reluctant to the plights of the tenants. Quite true we don't want to change premises but we can treat the premises with a package against bedbugs. you can get one from deadbedbugs.com which is easy to apply.
