Greetings, EasyExpat community. I have been floating around these forums for some time, as my ultimate game plan is to move to Italy, but that can't happen for several years due to my educational goals in the States. This issue is more short-term: I am a United States citizen. I will be traveling on vacation to Italy for about a month this July. I am also registered to volunteer with Legambiente for three months in the fall, starting September 1. I knew the stay limit without a visa was 90 days, so I thought I was free and clear; I only recently discovered that this limit applies to any six-month period. Clearly, I do not want a black mark on my Italian immigration record. Am I going to run into problems two months into my volunteer project? As I understand, it is too late to apply for a Type D at this point. Help? Thank you all!
Hello, May I ask, did I break some rule in posting this, or is it that nobody has experience with Italian visas? The latter seems unlikely... Thanks...
