Wait! That is the key word. It took them 6 months and 2weeks to request further documents from me. It is not just you that is in this predicament. At least there is always light at the end of the tunnel :D :)

They requested for my current payslips, my ex wife's payslips and passport or id card which the wrongly requested cos it is not a requirement with the kind of application that I made. I made application under regulation 10(5) of the Immigration (European Economic Area) regulations 2006 a.k.a retention of right of residence as a former spouse of an EEA national. My current payslips are the only relevant documents they requested. I have submitted a written representation to them telling them how I met the requirement. So, I am awaiting their response. :)

After 6 months and 21 days and one complaint letter, my passport has been returned (along with my husbands) with an accompanying letter. It states that my passport is being returned and not to return it to the Home Office until requested by a caseworker.

Still no decision? This is ridiculous!

My application was sent on October 31, 2007. Is anyone else in my position?

    :?: :?: :?:

You should contact SOLVIT. They seem to be the only people that can actually achieve something at the Home Office.

You could also launch a formal complaint with the "customer focus group" of the UKBA (the current name of the unit dealing with applications), but the results seem to be very mixed.

    Hello all,

I posted my application for EEA2 on the 29.04.2008 to HO in Croydon but up to now i have not received any acknowledgement letter or better called COA. I have been very patient but this is already more than 4 weeks. I checked online the tracking number on the special delivery and saw that the application was delivered. Can someone help me with what to do because i can not proceed with anything especially as i dont have proof of work permit and my EEA permit had expired this month.

    Thnx.

    Hello Njangah,
You don't need a work permit to work and I assume you are a holder of EEA FP.
You can work provided your partner is exercising his/her right in uk and a little bit of convincing the employer.
Also, there is a phone number on the BIA site( I think) for employer to call and verify.
