✎ EN UNUSUAL passport, UNUSUAL PROBLEM. BELARUS

    Hello.
    I have a quastion.
    I'm have a belarusian sitizenship. Me and my wife, she is POLISH, in UK now.
    We comes here for good.
    I have family permit visa. I'll extend it by FMRS now and by EEA2 year later.
    But!!! in my passport i have some that sound like "VALID FOR FOREIGN TRAVEL".This "valid for foreign travel" is valid till 27 of october 2007.
    So what's now?
    Is this date, 27 of october 2007, is important for belarussian coutry only or for BRITISH HOME OFFICE as well????
    British HOME OFFICE will not extend my visa here then???
    I'm very worry about it becose i'm afraid to go to Belarus and be apart with my wife.
    Please, tell me how it is
    Or where from i can know about it.

    You can leave and come back (e.g visit ,holiday but not more than 6 months at the time)till 27/10/2007.
    Did you get 1 year residence?

    No. My polish wife now hab been registrate in WSR.
    I think that You don't understood the quastion .
    I have passport valid for 23 years from now, but in pasport i have seal "valid for foreign travel" - it's untill 27 of october 2007. Belarussian goverment did this. Other countries had't something like this. So, if i'll extend my visa here next year - is this "valid for foreign travel" will be important for HOME OFFICE OR NOT???

    I got it.I think the Home Office will give you extension regardless but I am not sure you can travel after 27/10/2007.
    Can you extend it?Call and ask@

    Yes is a stupid sistem- as stupid belarussian goverment and Belarus at all!!!
    That's why i don't wanna even go there for a few days even.
    I'm afraid of them.
    I got a passport valid for 23 years, but I can have this seal "valid for foreign travels" only for 5 year maximum. After 5 years I must make a new one. STUPID!!!
    I think that maybe this seal is for belarusian goverment only, i'm not shure. I think that one my friend has a problem becose of this.


    Where I can ask for more information. I don't wanna to call to belarussian embassy, becose 99% that they are will not extend it.

    I need to know from home office.
    Thanks for Your help.

    I am afraid that nobody can help you but your embassy if you want to travel beyond 27/10/2007.
    You would get extension to your visa by HO,thats not the issue.
    Can you apply for polish passport?

    I think you can extend this stamp in your passport at the embassy of Repablic of Belarus in London. try to phone them and ask. I think you don't need to travel to Belarus to extend it.

    Unless he has been residing in Poland for x number of years, then he is not entitled to apply for a Polish passport. One must be exercising treaty rights in Poland to be able to apply for the passport. His only chance is to go to his own embassy for an extension of his passport.

    I'm afraid he can't
    I have a daughter born here and i can't do anything about her or even my passport at the Embassy of Republic of Belarus in London. You've got to apply for some kind of permit in Belarus, pay them tax for allowing you to stay in UK, and then you'll be able to sort things out via Embassy of Republic of Belarus in London, otherwise go home and do it there.
