    Hello, my husband is waiting to get his residence permit, we apply on june with the EEA2 form and we didn't have any hopes to get it back before 6 months but somebody from the home office called yesterday to my place of work to check my references with my manager so I'm just wondering if anybody knows if it would be quick, At least they are already dealing with his application but I was hoping to spend together christmas with my family in Spain

    Yep, the old problem again. I know this is generally not considered advisable, but you have the right to travel even without the residence card. As long as you travel together and you have your marriage certificate and the certificate of application with you, they cannot possibly refuse you at the border. You should be prepared for a discussion and some delay, though.

    Well I haven't got the marriage certificate because we sended originals to the home office, I was just wondering ones they call to check references about how long do you think it will take to get the passport with the stamp back??
