    hi! can someone help me please
    i've live in the uk for 3 years as a student and working aswell
    and now i just got married to my polish wife,she's already got a residence permit, we send all the document in 5 jan 07 yet we are still waiting for it.

    Well we wanna know how long it takes?
    and if i as a non EEA NATIONAL can work fulltime while waiting for ours documents to came back?

    The bad news is that the Home Office seems to take pretty much the allowed 6 months to process a residence card application. But you should have received a "certificate of application" about 3 weeks after you applied. This entitles you to work for a period of 6 month.

    You should remember that the residence card is not a prerequisite for your rights, it merely confirms that you have the rights granted by the EU. That means you can use your rights even without the card, although it can be quite difficult sometimes.

    I guest i have to wait for 6 months ,

    Yes i did recieve a (Certificate of Application)

    Does that mean i can take full time employment in my current job?

    Iwill take this time to say thank to the people that put this forum together
    it's been realy helpful. thanks again
