i've been to paris once and would love to go back one day. i don't have a lot of money so i am saving up. (i graduated with a degree in art so finding a professional job is out of the question.) i would like to hear from others (in similar situations) who have moved to paris. i just want to know how you went about moving, looked for a job, found a place, and how to manage living there, etc.

    thanks.

Please do post that site. I too am looking to move to Paris. I currently reside in BC, Canada. I am looking to move with my son to France; hopefully within a years time.
Moving across the world with a 3 year old is not an easy process I know- especially because it's that much more serious if something goes wrong when you're there. I need to make sure I dot all my "i's" and cross all my "t's".
Can anyone break it down to a step-by-step process for me?? It would be greatly appreciated.

    www.ubiquicity.com Relocation services Paris-New York

I have used Ubiquicity's services, quite good, make your life easy. Negotiate pricing or ask your company to include it in your package!

We moved to France with a 11 month old boy which made it kind of tough. But we were lucky enough to have a relocation service provided by my company (I trasnferred over with an American software company) that was very comprehensive.

But still, we ended up staying in a "apartment hotel" in Paris for 45 days while we waited for our belongings to come over on a boat. That got old real fast.

If you don't have strong French language skills, I definitely recommend doing an intensive course upon arriving. I did mine with the Alliance Francaise and was very satisfied. It was 4 hours a day for 4 weeks and gave me a real jump start with the language.

    RELOCATION New York or Paris

Could you please tell me what is the name of your relocation company to compare with the one I used?
I used Ubiquicity : www.ubiquicity.com It is new but very high quality and personalized service.
Did your company pay for the relocation package?

    Thank you for your answer
